Adrenalin is a funny thing!!

So, just prior to turning in last night the friendly waitress said to be careful, as 2 bikers were killed just yesterday on the road we were to take……….didn’t sleep so good. Never mind the smell of quark for breakfast was enough to get us up and at them!!
We rolled out of the garage around 08:00 and were immediately upon the fantastic Black Forest fast sweeping roads, the German road were fantastic as we’re the bikes, these roads were the highlight of the morning, we may one or twice have got quite close to the speed limit👀
We stopped around 11:30 for a couple of pork chops covered in cheese and I asked Rod if he had brought a map, he said no and asked if I had, I said no. So we bought one, but not a very good one (more of that later).
After our chop fest we rolled through Switzerland, Liechtenstein and into Italy via the high mountain passes. The roads in this area are as ever extreme and draw you to ride ever faster and faster. 180 degree switch backs, sheer cliff drops and psychotic truck drivers all add to the adrenaline flowing through your blood, this didn’t mix well with the cheesy chops so we decided to stop short of the Stelvio and found a great hotel in a ski resort in the mountains.
Over dinner (I had chops, Rod had spag bog) we looked at the incredibly rubbish map we had bought, it inspired us to come up with a new plan and change of route (simply because we were going the wrong way for our original plan). Anyway, tomorrow should see us visiting the Ducati factory in Modena and then going onto Florence.
The adrenaline now drained from the body we are both exhausted, Rod retired an hour ago looking all bag puss.
