Belgium -> Luxembourg -> Germany

Hello from the Black Forest.

Breakfast was the usual European fare – croissants,  cheese and ham. When will these people learn about sausages and bacon.

The first mission was to find Lee to new bike trousers. We set a course for Saarbrucken,  some 200 miles away where we planned to visit Louis’s – like a Debenhams for bikers.

The miles flew by and we got to Louis for 11:30 and after a few false starts, Lee has a new pair of trousers which almost fit.

The temperature today maxxed out at 28C – we were glowing like pigs !

We have stopped on the edge of the Black Forest on the B500 (a famous biking road) . We are in a little guesthouse where you can have anything you like to eat as long as it is a pork chop. We are going to head to the Stelvio Pass in Italy tomorrow.

The Stelvio has 48 hairpins and the summit is 2,700 metres above sea level. Last time we went there, Lee got altitude sickness and I boiled my brake fluid on the way down. Happy memories.
